The bet that interests me the most is which conferance will the Super Bowl winner come from. They list this bet twice, but it’s worded in slightly different ways.

You can bet either the AFC or the NFC, and they are both listed at -115 odds. Now -115 isn’t a good line on a 50/50 bet which at first this bet might seem to be. If this bet was a true 50/50, you should look for a line that is -110 for each side.

That said, it looks like the Packers are the current favorite to win the Super Bowl at 8-5 odds. Right behind them are the Steelers at 2-1. The Jets are third at 7-2, and the Bears are a distance 4th at 5-1. Just looking at these odds, you would think that the AFC has slight edge to win the big game. The two NFC teams are the Packers and the Bears, but the odds on the Bears are so long, that you have to figure that they would be underdogs to whoever they faced if they made it to the Super Bowl. Meanwhile the odds on the Steelers are right there with the Packers and the Jets odds aren’t too far behind.

Just looking at this, there has to be some value in betting on the AFC to win the Super Bowl now before this weekend’s NFL games are played. If the Bears manage to beat Green Bay, and you bet the AFC, you will have locked into some great odds on the Super Bowl. You could even bet on the Bears on the Super Bowl to hedge the bet and make money no matter who wins. Now lets say that the Bears lose to Green Bay, if the Steelers beat the Jets, you will have a pretty close bet the actual odds should be on the Super Bowl. The only way that this AFC bet could go against you in the big game is if the Packer and Jets wim this weekend. If this happens, the Packers would probably be favored over the Jets even though New York would have beaten some great teams to get to the Super Bowl.

Of course, if yo think that the super Bowl match up is going to be the New York Jets vs the Green Bay Packers, you can just bet on that too. Those odds are listed at 3-1. Oddly the Pittsburgh Steelers vs the Green Bay Packers odds are also 3-1…

So you can see that there ae several interesting bets on the board. At this stage of the playoffs, and 4 of these teams could easily go on to win the Super Bowl. These are 4 strong and focused teams that have played well all year and gotten hot at the right time.

Individual player props for this weekend aren’t up yet. Once they’re added, we be sure to post them here, so you can see what prop bets are offered for the NFL Championship playoff rounds. I expect there to be more team prop bets added too, so we’ll also update those a little later in the week.

Also later this week, we’ll give some tips on how to bet on the Super Bowl the right way, how to stay away from sucker bets and which online sportsbooks to use.

Until then, Good Luck and happy betting!
