Super Bowl odds for 2011 are out

Is it ever too early to start betting on the Super Bowl? Probably not…

Yes. The odds are out for Super Bowl XLV and two favorites to win it are the Saints and the Colts.

Right now the Colts offer the smallest odds to win the next Super Bowl in Arlington , Texas at 13-2. “We’ve got to bounce back and get another shot at it,” Colts receiver Reggie Wayne said after the 2010 lose.

Not surprisingly, the Saints are also favored to be there, getting 7-1 odds on winning it. A few New Orleans players mentioned a Saints dynasty after their recent Super Bowl win, so you know that they think it’s possible.

The 2011 Super Bowl will be held in the Dallas Cowboys’ new $1.1 billion stadium. The Cowboys are the third favorite at 15-2 to win it and also have a shot at becoming the first team to win the NFL Super Bowl in its home city.

The New England Patriots, who entered this season as 4-1 Super Bowl favorites, are tied with the San Diego Chargers as the fourth choice for the 2011 Super Bowl with 17-2 odds.

Following these teams, the Green Bay Packers are 19-2, the Minnesota Vikings are 11-1 and the Pittsburgh Steelers are 12-1.

The New York Jets, who lost to the Colts in the AFC championship game, are given 14-1, and the New York Giants are 15-1. Right now, I kind of like the odds on the Jets. I think they have the most value, followed by the Patriots.

Here is the complete list of odds for the 2010 Super Bowl (in case you want to bet it really early). Maybe you can roll over some of the money you won on Super Bowl XLIV…
