Who are you betting on in the 2010 Super Bowl?

The New Orleans Saints vs the Indianapolis Colts in Miami. This should be a great game. The line looks good too. Who are you going to bet?

New Orleans Saints +6
Indianapolis Colts -6

This line has already moved in the Colts direction. The odds opened at 4.5, and I saw 5.5 this afternoon. Now the spread is at 6. It looks like all the early, big money bettors are lining up on the Colts. I’m not surprised. Indy would have gone undefeated this year if they didn’t rest their best players at the end of the season.

The Saints are a strong team too, and I think a lot of America is going to be betting with the city of New Orleans. A friend of mine, who’s an excellent handicapper and bets big money, told me that he was waiting for all the Indy money to move the odds, and then he would bet the money line. Betting the money line means that he is betting the Saints to win straight up, regardless of the spread. When you bet on the money line, as oppose to the spread, you get better odds on your money. Right now, if you were to bet the Saints to win, you can get them at +175. That means if you bet $100, and the Saints win, you’ll win $175. Not bad.

So the current money line bet is:

New Orleans Saints +175
Indianapolis Colts -210

That means if you bet $100 on the Saints, you can win $175, and in order to win $100 on the Colts, you would have to bet $210. Get it? So if you bet $100 on the Indy money line, and they win, you would win less than $50.

The total bet is also currently available, and the sportsbooks are expecting this to be a high scoring Super Bowl. I hope they are right. High scoring game are more fun.

The current over/under is 56 or 56.5, depending on where you bet it. If you bet this, you are betting on the total score of the game. So if you bet the over, you are betting that the combine scores of both teams will be over 56. If you bet the under, you’re betting that the combine score of both teams is under 56.

So you bet the over on the Super Bowl and Indy wins 32 to the Saints 25. When you add up the scores of both teams it comes to 57, so if you bet the over, you win.

The only Super Bowl prop bet that I can currently find online was already up last week:

2010 Super Bowl XLIV – What will be the result of the Super Bowl XLIV Coin Toss? Wager is on the opening coin toss.
Heads (Coin Toss) -105
Tails (Coin Toss) -105

This is a pretty standard prop bet that’s offered on the Super Bowl. There will probably be another 100 or so prop bets being offered by the end of the week, from everything to “will a kickoff be returned for a touchdown” to how long will it will take for someone to sing God Bless America. Yes, there will be a lot of props to bet on which is great because you can always find some with value.

So if you don’t have an online sportsbook yet, check back here because we’ll soon be recommending great online sportsbooks to bet the Super Bowl at. If you live in Las Vegas, you probably already have your favorite local sportsbook. If not, check out the Hilton. They offer a ton of prop bets.

Thanks for stopping by and reading our site – Bet the NFL Super Bowl. Be sure to come back to see our sportsbooks rating and our advice on several props. Unlike past years, we plan on listing some of the prop bets that we are betting on this Super Bowl. If you’re interested, be sure to stop back before the big game. Good Luck!

The Colts are headed to the 2010 Super Bowl in Miami

I’m not sure who the Indianapolis Colts will face in the Super Bowl yet, but they are on their way! I’m writing this during halftime of the Vikings/Saints game.

The last time the Colts played in a Super Bowl in Miami, Peyton Manning was their quarterback, Reggie Wanye was their deep threat wide receiver, Joseph Addai was splitting carries out of the back field, and their defense was sick. It looks like not much as changed.

That year the Colts beat the Bears, and Payton Manning was awarded the Super Bowl MVP… and over the next 2 weeks, you can bet on whether or not they can win it again and whether or not Manning can win a second MVP award. (In case you don’t think it’s possible, Tom Brady has 2 Super Bowl MVPs).

Today, the Colts simply destroyed the Jets, who were actually leading at halftime. The whole second half belong to the Colts though. They over came their deficit to win the game and actually cover the 8.5 point spread too. I’m sure the Jets bettors were crying after that game.

Anyway, we already know one team who will be playing in the Super Bowl. Now it up to either the Vikings or Saints to come along. Both teams would be fun to watch, and I’m sure that both will be heavily bet, just like the Colts. I did read yesterday that CBS was rooting for the Colts/Vikings to meet in the Super Bowl because they think it would have higher ratings than Colts/Saints game. Apparently the Brett Farve vs Peyton Manning story will attract more people (probably people who don’t regularly watch the NFL). CBS’s problem with New York and New Orleans, and those cities will tune in regardless of who’s in the game. They are looking for the households that normally wouldn’t watch the Super Bowl to tuen in.

So that’s about it for now. I thought I would give an update since the Colts are now going to the Super Bowl. Be sure to check back here before the big game in Miami as we’ll the listing the best sportsbooks to bet the Super Bowl at, and we’ll be posting updated odds and the list of prop bets that these sportsbooks are offering.

After all the Super Bowl is the heaviest bet game of the year. If you want in on the action, we’re the place to help you find a place to bet. Just look at the name of this site. Bet the NFL Super Bowl! How can you go wrong? That’s right, you can’t!

Anyway, best of luck all. I’ve been rambling, but I need to go to catch the second half of the Saints – Vikings game. Congratulations to all the Colts fans out there. You’re team is headed to the Super Bowl. Are you going to bet on them? Good Luck all!

Thanks for stopping by to learn how to bet on the Super Bowl.

As promised, more NFL prop Bets!

Great news, the first Super Bowl prop bet is now up at the Bodog sportsbook! If you want to bet on who will win the coin toss, go there now -> LINK

Okay, so these aren’t all Super Bowl Bets, and I know that’s probably what you come here to look for. But these are still some interesting NFL bets that you can make at an online sportsbook.

I especially like the future bet on the Chargers winning a playoff game next year. They haven’t won one in their last two appearances, and who knows how good they will be next year? The odds are that they will make the NFL playoffs, but they could come in as a number 6 seed and have to play a really good team, the number 3 seed.

Anyway this is a bet that will take a year to get paid off on, so I usually don’t bet these, but I can’t help in think that this one has some value to it. After all, even if my money is tied up for a year, if i get a 100% return on it who cares. The stock market sucks now, and even in it’s best years, it’s best return would be about 20% in 1 year. This bet offers me a 100% return in 1 year. Which one do you think is better?

Okay, I’ve rambled enough. Below are a list of the team props currently offered at this online sportsbook.

Betting player props is one of the most fun things to do during the playoffs. Above is a list off player props listed at one sportsbook. If you think that this is a lot of bets, you should be what this sportsbook offers for the Super Bowl. You can bet on almost anything, including the coin toss, the national anthem, and the halftime show.

Thanks for checking out this site (currently the first hit in Yahoo and Bing for Bet the NFL Super Bowl, Bet the Super Bowl and Super Bowl Betting). We’re up there in Google for those phrases too, we’re just not number 1 because you don’t pay a fortune to get there. It’s can be very expensive to rank number 1 in google for anything, especially for a phrase like “Bet on the Super Bowl”.

Anyway, I’ll be back soon to list all of the team props that are offered this weekend. What did you think that this was the total list of props? You silly rabbit!

Super Bowl Betting. Only 15 days left!

Only 15 days left until the Super Bowl. If you want to bet any of the remaining teams to win the 2010 Super Bowl, now is the time to due it. The odds will be adjusted after this weekends games when everyone knows who the Super Bowl teams will be.

These are the current Super Bowl odds at an online sportsbook.

Odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl XLIV
Indianapolis Colts 6/5
Minnesota Vikings 4/1
New Orleans Saints 2/1
New York Jets 13/2

Exact Result of the 2010 Super Bowl XLIV
Minnesota Vikings beat the Indianapolis Colts 21/4
Minnesota Vikings beat the New York Jets 10/1
New Orleans Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts 14/5
New Orleans Saints beat the New York Jets 19/2
Indianapolis Colts beat the Minnesota Vikings 5/1
Indianapolis Colts beat the New Orleans Saints 47/20
New York Jets beat the Minnesota Vikings 14/1
New York Jets beat the New Orleans Saints 39/4

According to the Las Vegas Sun, “NFL conference championships make for major betting weekend”. They go on to talk about some lucky handicapper who bet the Saints to win the NFC championship early in the season. The same guy bet the Cards last year.

Of course, the Las Vegas Sun goes on to interview this guy who runs a sportsbook, and he talks about the Saints being every one’s sleeper pick for the last couple of years because of their high powered offense. Makes sense to me. I have a lot of Saints on my playoff fantasy football team, so I’m betting on them making it to the Super Bowl in my fantasy league…

Anyway, it looks like the Colts are the current favorites to win the Big Game. It’s only because they play the Jets this weekend, so everyone is expecting them to make it to the Super Bowl, where the Saints/Vikings game should be closer. Personally, I’d like to see New York get to the Super Bowl. I like betting the underdogs.

I’ll be back soon with updated prop bets for this weekend. Good luck and thanks for reading!

20 days until the Super Bowl, updated NFL spreads, odds and bets

After this weekend there are only 4 NFL teams left in their quest to win the 2010 Super Bowl. It looks like the Colts are currently heavily favorites, probably because they are playing the Jets this weekend. The Odds show that the the betting community definitely think the Jets are the longest shot to win the Super Bowl. As I said yesterday, if you want to bet the Jets to win the Super Bowl, do it now. Every week they win, their odds keep getting better (or worse for the bettors). The odds on the Jets were 50-1 to win the Super Bowl before the playoffs started. I bet you wish you bet on them then.

Player prop bets for this coming weekend aren’t up yet, but the spreads for the games are. As expected, the Colts are heavy favorites over the Jets. Indy’s playing at home, and we leading the Jets the last time these teams met before the Colts pulled Manning and other starters to rest them for the playoffs. With the Colts’ starters on the bench, New York rallied that game and won. They then beat Cincy the next week to make it into the playoffs. A lot of people think that if the Colts didn’t pull their starters, they would have won that game and could have gone undefeated all season.

The Saints are also favored over the Vikings this weekend. This spread is a little tighter since both are considered good teams. I’m still a little surprised that the spread in at 4.5. I thought the Vikings would be getting more respect than that especially after having just beat up on Dallas. Although I really like this Saints team, I might have to bet Minny this week. I’ve listed the specific spreads for this weeks games below:

NFL PLAYOFFS – CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND
New York Jets +8 (-115)
Indianapolis Colts -8 (-105)

NFL PLAYOFFS – CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND
Minnesota Vikings +4½
New Orleans Saints -4½

So that’s all I got so far for this weekend’s games, but not bets will be up this week. If you can’t wait for me to update, just look around a few online sports books to see what they are offering. Most offer various props, but a few sports books are better than others. Many online sportsbooks even offer better more prop bets than Las Vegas sportsbooks do. Just another reason to bet the NFL Super Bowl online.

As for the Super Bowl bets that you can make today, I’ve listed the odds for each team to win the 2010 Super Bowl below, as well as the exact results of the Super Bowl. Right now, the best odds are on the Jets winning the Super Bowl and the Jets beating the Vikings in the Super Bowl. Personally, I’m rooting for New York because I love to see the long shots hit.

Odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl XLIV
Indianapolis Colts 6/5
Minnesota Vikings 4/1
New Orleans Saints 2/1
New York Jets 13/2

Exact Result of the 2010 Super Bowl XLIV

It’s going to be an interesting weekend in Miami for sure. South Beach is so much fun and close to the stadium. Last time the Super Bowl was down there, Miami was covered in NFL fans. I’m sure it will be again this year. So which team will have the most fans, and the most fun fans?

The Super Bowl will be during Mardi Gras in New Orleans this year, so if the Saints go, I’m sure their fans will be partying Mardi Gras style in Miami. New Orleans is also the closes team to South Beach, so I would expect their to be plenty of Saints fans there. Of course, New Orleans will be in the middle of Mardi Gras, so maybe fans would go to Miami than normal due to the holiday.

I’m sure that New Yorkers know how to party. And unlike New Orleans, there is not reason to stay home Super Bowl weekend. Also I’m sure Miami, Florida would be a great change of weather for anyone living in the North East this time of year.

The last time the Indianapolis Colts won the Super Bowl, the Super Bowl was in Miami. I was there, and I have to say, I saw a lot more Bears fans than Colts fans there. I’m sure people in Indy would love to take a trip to South Beach, but I wouldn’t bet that they would make the trip. Especially since their team just won the Super Bowl a few years ago. While the other teams are starving for a Super Bowl win, the Colts probably aren’t all that desperate.

Minnesota fans could definitely use a trip to Miami. I’ve been to Minny this time of year, and trust me, it’s really cold. Vikings fans seem to be a really devoted group too. If I had to bet, I would bet that there would be a lot of Vikings fans in Miami if they made it to the Super Bowl.

I’m sure a lot of these fans will also be betting on the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, not everyone can get to Las Vegas, so I think most will be betting online. Super Bowl betting is a past time in our country. The Super Bowl is the most heavily bet game of the year, in the whole world. There are people in Europe and Africa and Asia betting on the Super Bowl. It’s really incredible how truly big this game is. It’s gotta be the biggest event in spots, maybe only surpassed by the Fifa World Cup. But the World Cup only happens once every 4 years. The Super Bowl is every year.

Thanks for reading Bet the NFL Super Bowl 2010 Miami. Be sure to stop back later in the week, and we’ll have the full list of player prop bets update for this weeks games. And there’s only 20 days left until the Super Bowl! I can’t wait. I wish it was tomorrow.

I bet there is 21 days left until the NFL Super Bowl in Miami

Well, the Colts and the Saints won yesterday, nothing unusual about that.I wouldn’t be surprised to see both on those teams face off in the 2010 Super Bowl.

The odds have dropped on these teams winning the Big Game. The Indianapolis Colts are now 2-1. The New Orleans Saints are currently 5/2 to win the NFL Super Bowl. If you want to bet either of these teams, I would do it today because if any of the dogs win today, the odds on those teams will probably drop. (I posted the current Super Bowl odds on all teams below)

Anyway, betting on the Super Bowl is almost a nation past time. This is the most heavily bet game a year, and it’s only second in Las Vegas to the first weekend of March Madness. The main difference is that there is only 1 Super Bowl, but there are 32 March Madness games.

Las Vegas will be full of football fans for Super Bowl weekend, but same with Miami. I was in Miami for the last Super Bowl that the Colts won, and it was crazy. I stayed on South Beach, and football stands were set up, up and down the beach. ESPN was broadcasting live from South Beach all week. I watched sports center, Mike and Mike in the morning and a few other shows, just walking down the strip. That Super Bowl was between the Bears and the colts. I have to say that I say a lot for Bears fans there that week than Indy fans.

Miami is a great place to have the NFL Super Bowl. After all saying “I’m going to the Super Bowl in Miami.” sounds a lot better than saying, “I’m going to the Super Bowl in Detroit.” Miami is a fun and warm city. The NFL tries to hold the Super Bowl in Southern cities, as that it is warm for the game. I don’t blame them. It’s a good idea.

But not only is Miami warm, it’s fun. South Beach, clubs, bars, women in thongs. It’s a hell of a lot better than Arizona or Houston or Indianapolis. Maybe New Orleans can compare, but there is something about Miami that makes me think it can’t. South Florida in February. Can anything be better?

BTW I just googled the Super Bowl in Miami and saw an article titles 2010 Super Bowl Picks, NFL Playoff Predictions & NFL Betting Schedule?, so I clicked on it. The article was very short and not very good, but it did pick the Colts to win the Super Bowl. I just thought I would throw this in here…

Today the Dallas Cowboys play the Minnesota Vikings. The spread is the Vikings minus three. Also the New York Jets play the San Diego Charges with that spread now up to the Charges minus 8. The spread in the second game has really move around this week. San Diego opened as a 9 point favorite, and all the sharp bettor bet the Jets. There was so much action on the game that the spread dropped to minus 7 yesterday. I guess the public starting betting the Charges heavy yesterday, because the spread is now back to minus 8.

The Sharp bettors also could have started betting San Diego yesterday hoping to middle the game. Sharps can middle a game when the spread moves (like in this game). Often when the line first opens and the sharp bettors don’t agree with it, they’ll bet one side hard, like they bet on the Jets earlier this week. This causes the spread to move, like this one moved to 7. When the line move, the sharp bettors will often bet the other side for the chance of winning both bets. If they did this this weekend, they would have the Jets plus 9 and the Charges minus 7. This way if the Charges win by 8, they win both bets. They are also guaranteed not to lose both bets. The most they can lose is 1 bet, but they can win 2. Not bad…

A lot of people bet on the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, but even more people bet the NFL Super Bowl online. Betting online is so easy, and if you live in most parts of America where betting on the NFL is not legal, it’s a lot easier to turn on the computer to place a bet, then hope on a plane and fly to Las Vegas. You can usually find a lot better odds online than you can in Las Vegas. Online you can shop for best the odds with ease just be visiting different websites. In Las Vegas, you would have to walk or drive from one sportsbook to another just to see the odds. Then, if you want to go back to a certain sportsbook to place a bet, the odds could have changed by the time you get back there. These are just some of the reasons of the why I prefer to bet the NFL online.

As I promised earlier, I’ve posted updated odds for this year’s NFL Super Bowl below. These odds can be found at the BoDog Sportsbook online. BoDog is not only a sportsbook, but also an online casino and poker room.

Thanks the complete list, and as we said, it’s a ton of bets. This sportsbook also offers live online betting after every play. That means any NFL game you watch, whether it’s a playoff game or the Super Bowl, you can bet through out the game and after every single play. Of course the spreads and odds change constantly because every play effects the game ina different way. So if the line is 7 and then one team scores a touchdown, the line can change from 7 to 14 or go down to zero. Trust me, just watching these odds move during the Super Bowl is fun!

Anyway, good luck this week. I hope you favorite teams win.. or at least the teams that you bet on. Have a fun and safe weekend. We’ll be back to update you with more Super Bowl bets and odds as they change.
