My name isn’t Earl, but I like the show

kinda. I mean it is amusing, but not really that good. I can watch it probably because there is nothing else on TV.

Of course, this show based on Karma. Earl saw a guest talking about it on the Carson Daily show (is that show still on?). So now he has a list of all the bad things that he had done to people, and the show follows him around as he tries to make up for his past actions. The concept itself is funny, and the first few seasons were too. Now I think it’s gone downhill.

In fact, all of the Thursday night NBC shows now suck, with the expection of 30 Rock. The Office was great the ffirst few seasons. So was Scrubs. I watch these shows now, and I’m lucky if I crack a smile. I believe the term for these shows is that they Jumped the Shark. Never hear of jumping the shark? google it and you’ll find it.

It has something to do with how Happy Days started sucking after Fonse jumped the shark tank. The show hit a peek and could hold onto it’s great level of entertainment. The writers got too cocky or lazy or just stupid or ran out of material. Anyway, the show was a hit, so they had to keep making it, but with no good materail the show turned into a bunch of stupid stunts.

Kinda like when all the Freinds started marrying each other and having kids. God that show turned to shit.

The great thing about sports (aside from the fact that you can bet on them), is that they are entertaining without the ability to jump the shark. I mean you can watch every Super Bowl, and even though the half time are big productions and can be messed with, the game itself is still just a football game. The essence of that show will never die.

So I ate dinner and it was good. Like I said a grilled cheese with fries from the diner. Not the healthiest of meals, but I’ve been eating soup and salad everyday for lunch, so I feel like I’ve been eating alright.

Well, it’s time to take another break from writing. I might have more coming later tonight (I probably will). What a wild life I lead…
