Sports Book Ratings for the 2009 Super Bowl

Well it’s that time again. Yes Super Bowl XLIII is right around the corner and after talking to many, many sports books and looking at their betting options, odds and services offer for this Super Bowl, we have decided on a this year’s top rate sports book for the Super Bowl. Readers of this site should be familiar with this sports book as it was our top rated book for last year’s Super Bowl, and we are very confident giving it the crown this year as well.

#1 Rated Sports Book for Super Bowl Betting 2009 is BODOG

After talking with BoDog, we are confident that this sports book will again offer the most betting option available for this year’s Super Bowl. This Sports Book (often called America’s Sports Book) offers the largest variety of prop bets on the biggest game every year. With individual prop bets on the most players, exotic bets on the half time show, commercials and announcers, and live in game betting (where you can bet on the game after every play), there is no other site you need for all your Super Bowl action. If you are a new customer, you will also receive a 10% bonus on all funds you deposit with them.

For new readers, BoDog is considered one of the a best sports books in the industry by every rating service. They have a well established business in Costa Rica and have been offering bets world wide since 1995. They hold all cusomter accounts in seperate bank accounts, have great customer service, and offer good bonuses for new and existing players. They also have a global brand and is often the first name that comes to mind when dicussing online sports betting with some of the world’s largest gamblers. You can not go wrong with this site if you are looking to bet the Super Bowl, College Basketball, or any other game/sports. (BoDog’s Poker Room and Casino are also considered some of the best available online).

#2 Rated Sports Book for Super Bowl Betting 2009 is ODDSMAKER

While this sports book does not offer as many betting options as BoDog, they still offer more than the average site. They are safe and secure, located in the Netherlands Antilles, and offer Player’s Club bonus and promotions to all their players. While their customer service is great for all players, like the Las Vegas casinos, this sports books offer special services and promotions to their high rollers. If you’re a big bettor (over $10,000 in action per month), I would highly recommend trying OddsMaker.

Jose Canseco vs the 45 year old & Super Bowl Odds

Yeah, Canseco 45 year old football player who has been out of the game for years… This fight will suck, but I still have ringside seats of this event in Atlantic City.

Not much else worth talking about. It’s still months and months away from the Super Bowl…

The draft changed the odds for betting a winner for the next Super Bowl in 2009, but not on anyone major. The top teams are still favorites, and the biggest move was for long shot teams like the Kansas City Chiefs. Sure the Chiefs drafted 7 of the first 105 draft picks, so the sports books had to change the odds on them winning the Super Bowl, but they are still a 90-1 shot at BoDog (down from 125-1).

I just read an article about how this was such a big move, but come on, no one was betting KC to win the Super Bowl before, and no one is betting them now. Only real gamblers (who live in KC) might be betting this team, but gamblers in Maimi might be betting the Dolphins regardless of the odds.

Moves in the other direction were on the Texans (60/1 to 80/1) were people didn’t like their picks and the Browns (28/1 to 40/1) who didn’t draft a player until the 4th round this year…

Lastly, the Giants finally got there Super Bowl rings this week. Good for them.

The Super Bowl is still months away…

and the summer is here.

They are talking about legalizing sports betting in Atlantic City again. And I for one think that this would be great! Imagine being able to legally bet on sports in 2 different US cities, not just Las Vegas. If AC gets sports gambling, people on the East Coast will have a great place to go to bet on the Super Bowl, March Madness, whatever.

Of course the major sports will fight to keep sports betting in AC outlawed. Why? Because the NFL likes to live in denial. Denial that most people watch games ONLY because they bet on it in one way or another. People bet the games straight up, with a spread, the total, in office pools, in fantasy football, and lots of other ways. The soul reason that football and the NFL are so popular in because people bet on the games. It is a short season, so each game has a large amounts of money on it.

Monday Night Football – This is the game where people who win or lose over the weekend can place a bet to try to win more or get back to even. That is why this game is sooo popular. Why else would someone on the west coast watch the Eagles vs Miami on a Monday night? No one would… But a lot do in Las Vegas and across the rest of the country because they have a little action on it.

The NFL should wake up and realize that sports betting is good for it. Their is a reason that the Super Bowl is the most heavily bet game every year, and it’s because people love to bet football. If it was impossible to bet on the NFL a lot of people would lose interest, but every office pool and bookie, gets people a little more interested.

Anyway, I would love it if they legalized Atlantic City Sports Betting.

Just wrote a banging post for pre-Super Bowl

In fact, I think that is was soooo good that I’m going to save it until a few weeks before the Super Bowl. It was all about Las Vegas and betting on the NFL Super Bowl, and it can’t stear me wrong in holding it until next January to drop that Golden Nugget on the internet. After all, whenever I write about Las Vegas, I’m writing about Sports Betting.

Sports Betting in Las Vegas is the main reason that the city fills up a few weekends a year. Good Luck trying to book a room on Super Bowl weekend and March Madness weekend for a reasonable rate. Those are probably 2 of the best weekends to visit Las Vegas, unless you are there for a big fight or New Years.

The gambling capitol of the United States… You have to love Las Vegas.
